A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Department Manager to join one of UK’s largest Garden Centre chains at their centre in Derby to oversee their garden sundries department, seeking a skilled and experienced  retail Manager with passion for horticulture, enthusiasm and creativity to ensure the ongoing success of the department, This Garden Centre offers their customers a truly unique retail experience, showcasing the very best in garden and home living products, with their unique store design, product range and exceptional standards in visual merchandising and service, and are seeking a Manager to join the team and ensure the ongoing success of the centre and the department moving forward.

THE ROLE:
  • As a Department Head for Sundries, you will be responsible for running the department and successfully managing and motivating your team.
  • You will be involved in driving sales, creating stunning and inspirational visual displays, managing stock levels, and motivating and developing your team.
  • As a Department Head for Sundries, you will gain a real sense of ownership over your department and will be given the autonomy to drive sales and profitability by maximising space productivity, replenishment, and merchandising.
  • The customer is the focus of everything we do, so you will ensure that they always receive an exceptional level of service.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience of this within a retail environment with a passion for horticulture is essential
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced retail environment at a management or supervisory level.
  • You will be a great communicator with an ability to inspire your team.
  • A keen eye for detail with a creative edge to ensure our high retail standards are consistently maintained in terms of product placement and presentation.
