EPOS / Till / Stock Manager - Harlow

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced EPOS Manager to join one of UK’s largest Garden Centre chains at their store in Trentham, this Garden Centre offers their customers a truly unique retail experience, showcasing the very best in garden and home living products, with their unique store design, product range and exceptional standards in visual merchandising. Looking for EPOS Manager to manage stock and processes across all departments within the business as well as all till operations and ensuring the continued level of customer service standards at all times.

As EPOS Manager you will be joining one of the company’s flagship stores which achieves sales of £8 million per annum, with 75 plus staff. You will be working as part of the Management Team and will have the below responsibilities:

  • As EPOS Manager you will be the centre's first point of contact for all queries relating to stock control.
  • You will continually monitor all stock control processes in store including goods-in, till operations, stock takes, wastage, stock ordering and stock level accuracy, and take any necessary action to resolve any issues.
  • As EPOS Manager you will work closely with department heads and the centre manager to ensure that all these processes are adhered to correctly, timely and accurately.
  • Training and coaching staff is a key element of this role as you would need to ensure that all relevant centre staff and managers are fully conversant with all systems and process relating to stock management.


To be successful as EPOS Manager you will need to have:
  • Experience of working in a stock management role ideally from within a large retail environment.
  • Working with numbers will be second nature to you and you will have great problem solving and investigative skills.
  • You will have excellent IT skills especially in Excel and preferably some experience of using stock control databases.
  • You will have an energetic personality with a positive can-do attitude and a natural ability to engage and inspire your colleagues around you.
